rolllfoappregiate wrote:luls! I had to create an account for this post bc of the replies you got back. I dont use any Akai MPC's but there has to be a way to do this without trying to dial your fingers in and doing it manually lol!!!!! my suggestion would be to youtube your model and chopping drums.... I am sorry to say but the responses you received are all from folks that produce and have had their skill sets dialed in during the pete rock, cl era where there was not very much heavy drum production. I hope that you get your drums chopping and adding filters to the sound of the chopped snares and highs to make it sound super duper wuper cool dude. I am terribly sorry you received such answers that you did but there is definitely a way to chop through the interface rather than manually doing it. Unreal, just keep manually doing it and you will get better... LOL! naaah. Even on my keyboard, through interface settings on my workstation I can assign every single one of my keys to be a snare and either make the snare the same sounding octet across every key or to follow the octet and you are telling me there is no way through the interface to add notes basically of that of snare sounds or hi's and put them next to each other through the interface on an Akai? Yeah right... puhahahaha!... Just keep manually doing it and you will get better. wtf? #bad
It sounds like you kept saying the same thing over and over again, but did not even sort of give on answer and you don't even use an mpc so why you even chiming in?
to the OP many people gave you the right answer using the note repeat button while holding your high hat could give you the product that you want or if you can use the grid edit to enter them in manually step at a time, I don't know what mpc your on but the newer ones can give you all the high hat rolls you want..
