Are you any good at programming Live drum Grooves

Im wack at this. Cant get my head around ghost programing, hat shuffles/peddel hat movement/ snare rolls the lot. Think I need to study a Video of a live drummer to help me pick up the structure/ co-ordination of patterns

Anyone in the same boat? Anyone got any tips

The type of loops im refering to are more the funk/James Brown breaks but I spose the priciple applys to it all so i'll take what ever tips you got

Sorry bro, my cousin taught me how to play the drums when I was 10 so I guess I have that advantage. But, try to beat box a groove and then memic it on the MPC, I do that all the time;) Or listen to a drum solo from John Bohnem (drummer of Led Zepplin) and listen to every single nook n' crany he throws in his ish! ...peace
