i have a program called 'sound studio' it doesnt have the extra features that cool edit and sound forge have, but hey for 50 bucks why not?
its very very simple and easy to use, matterafact...easiet wav editor ive ever used.....
only prob is it doesnt have timestretch

If you're looking for a program similar to Sound Forge for Mac I'd look at TC Works Spark XL(499.00) or Bias Peak 4.0(399.00), they are bothg top of the line programs. TC Works has a LE version for 50 bucks but I don't know if it has time stretch.

check out dsp quattro. it's similar to peak and spark xl, but cheaper. it's easy and quick to get around on and it interfaces with vst and au plug-ins too. with some freebies like the fishfilets, cyanide and H20, it's amazing.
