I felt that it was quite harder to do drumming on the MPC than a real set. On a real set, Im so used to keeping my limbs in motion to crank out noise, now everyting is all in my fingertips LOL...peace

The thing that's harder to me is the fact that you can't use your foot to play the kick. It just takes a little experimentation to figure out how to set up the pad assignments in a way that works for you.
Also, if you're programming, make the pattern length long - like 16 bars, so that you're more free to improvise and stretch out a little.

Hey MPCVORE, you're on the French Riviera?
I play MPC live (no sequencing) with a French artist (General Electrics), and we're doing a French tour opening up for Buck 65 in the second half of February. I'm not sure of the cities yet, but come check it out if you can.

what i mean, is when i make a beat i think like a drummer to make it sound as "real" as possible..;of course it's not possible to play the MPc like a drum kit, especially because it has no possibility to play with feet, which is so important on a drumkit, isn't it?

The 'realism' can be increased by not using 'full level', and not using quantizing.
Also, experiment with the "velocity>pitch" setting (great for hats), or even velocity sample switching.

rjd2's probably just looping some breaks on some parts.
