Adding Scratches to Hook?

Yo.

What is the easiet way to go about this? Im not comfortable enough with my dj skills to scratch a hook live, Should i just record it and mix it in or what?

Yah, just use a multi-track recording program.

wait untill the track is done before you do the scratches. Anything more than a simple jigga jigga shouldn't be sampled into the mpc. When you start multitracking, whoever is doing the scratches i9s gonna make a ton of mistakes untill they finally get it right.

We finish the tracks, then dump them individually so we can mute, solo, etc...in the recording program. We then add the scratches where we need them on a seperate track. It makes it easier to edit. If you come in too early or late with a scratch, you can just move that scratch manually to the correct spot. That's what we did to a couple of our demo tracks on our website. Hope this helps.
