fellow br-1180 users your help would be appreciated

I have thoroughly read the br-1180's manual on its abilities to master but it doesnt really seem to give the best info on mastering in terms of exactly what each mastering toolkit does. So I was wondering if you guys could tell me what steps you have taken to get that perfect mix?
