A Few Problems

First off, i know this is a MPC forum, but right now, i really don't know what forum to use... Do note that I am a MPC2000xl user, so you are helping someone in the fam!

Anyways it's like this.... i just copped the Mbox, so i could use protools, and I still have my USB M-AUDIO AUDIOPHILE hooked up to my PC.... I'm runnin Microsoft XP... Things used to be cool, cuz i used to be able to sample into Sound Forge through from my turntable, through my audiophile, and clean it up, and then kick it back out into the MPC....

The problem is, is that now since i have the Mbox hooked up, my control panel says, "No Device" and even though a device is chosen, it still doesn't show up.... and on top of that, when i try 2 record on sound forge, or even sound recorder for that matter, the program freezes up....

Anyway, i'm pissed the hell off, and it's probably some simple shit, so if any of you TechNuts can help me out, it'd be appreciated to the fullest...

Make sure you have the latest version of PT(6.1.1) installed and make sure you have the wave driver and asio driver installed, Soundforge doesn't recognize the MBox without one or the other(I forget which) and even then I think SF will only recognize the MBox as a playback device. I'm not sure why SF doesn't recognize the Audiophile either way, I'm able to switch between soundcards without any problems. It might be cuz they're both usb devices but I doubt it.

Well, has anyone else ever experienced this problem?

my friend experienced similar probs. he had to call digi and walk thru his computer with the tech services guy to rearrange stuff. i advise you give those guys a call. it was a problem with the extensions not being in all the right folders or something along those lines.
