How Do You????????

For those who midi their sounds into the mpc(so for those who do not have sounds loaded into their mpc),

...How Do You connect your mpc to your soundcard to record it into cool edit,sonar,etc...? I cant use the 8outs since the sounds are not loaded in my mpc,so what would i use to connect.

I am asking this question because i am about to buy the delta 1010 but i was thinkin why would i need all those ins if im never gonna use them since i cant use the 8outs from the mpc.

what i was thinkin was midi sync my mpc to my cool edit and just record like that, and if thats the case i dont need the 1010 all i need is the same model with less ins which is a couple hundred cheaper,makes sense right?

There are still few reasons why you want to have the Delta1010... first of all, you can run your turntables directly into the 1010 instead of directly into the MPC... run them out of delta to the MPC. That way, you can you can use the effects processors in Fruity 4+ or Cubase to modulate your sound before it goes to the MPC... You can also hook up a DVD player, CD player, VCR or whatever you need to the other inputs. Second of all... you will have extra out for external processing. You can hook up your Mic, or whatever.

All I am saying is that until I got the Delta 1010, I didn't have options. Now I have options. I added a patch bay, and now I can disconnect/connet anything in my rig without getting up from my seat. If I want to run the MPC to the Kaoss pad, unplug and plug. Turntables through my MS2000BR, unplug and plug. How MS2000R to Kaoss pad to MPC... Uplug, plug, unplug plug... I never got out of my seat. Having the extra ins and outs means that I never have to waste creative energy rerouting cables. I can just sit down and jam.

Don't forget that the Preamps on a Delta1010 are a bagillion times better than the ones on a Soundblaster.

One day your MPC will not be enough... better to have you bus ready before you get additional equipment.

You will eventually need them later as you get more elaborate with your gear and creativity.. If you have the money now then I'd do it. Like fade502 said, options are a good thing to have..

If you want just your sequence then MIDI is the key but like Lampdog and Fade502 both stated options are a beautiful thing. You can never have too many ins and outs.
