using kaoss pad II

im having trouble linking up my KP with my MPC. I want to use it on a drum track but not on either of the other tracks. Is there a way of doing that or is it not possible?

Also how do you use the midi with the MPC?

Also how do you use the midi with the MPC? Midi out on kp to midi in on mpc. midi in on kp to midi out on mpc.

oh no my friend, there is a ghetto way to do it... pan all your drum tracks to the left, everything else to the right. only send the left out (your drum tracks) through the kaoss pad. see? simple but effective.

damn i didnt know that. i have my mixer running in through the kp and my kp running out to my mp, and i just addeffects as im sampling,it's very strenuous tho

ok so is this setup right then?

mpc right out - kp right in
kp line out - mixer line in 1
mpc left out - mixer line in 2

I only have a two channel dj mixer.

thats how i have mine now, i only have a two channel as well.
