hypothetical question-
aight, i have a track completed, mixed and all that, now im ready to record vocals on it...at this point its still in the mixer, i have a yamaha digital recorder that i am going to be recording my vocals with....now, do i record the beat into the digi recorder as one track? and my vocals as the 2nd track?? if so, then i would just mix the vocals in on the digi recorder, then send that final product on to the mastering rack...is this right? or would i need to master the beat first, then add my vocals later? it gets a little confusing when it comes down to this...thanx in advance for the help..peace

I would track each instrument/sample/sound individually just in case later on down the line you want to eq differently, add compression/reverb or just mute certain areas all of a sudden. You may be happy with the mixdown today but tomorrow your opinion may change.

Uno/1
