Here is my problem. I would like to take a sample in stereo, then I would like to isolate the right channel, and have the right side play from both the left and right channel. I know when I first take a sample I can choose ether the left or right side but I would like to take the original sample in stereo so that I can change things if I like later on. Could some one help me with this problem.

Thanks

you can take the right channel, but this is a mono sample then! you could stereo "enhance" it...
make 2 channels, pan one hard left, and one hard right and EQ them a little different. it won't sound as good as a stereo sample, but more stereo than a mono sample!

what MPC are you using? On the 1k with JJ OS you can sample in stereo then separate or merge the channels as you wish to a new sample (in TRIM mode, edit menu)

I am using a MPC 2500 with the latest factory OS update. I was told that it is risky to use the JJ OS, that it could corrupt the MPC. Have you heard of any problems like that?

IF your JJ OS hasn't given you any problems, can you send me the link to where you downloaded yours?

2025 and it's still running perfect...with an update in 2024

Only possible issue I could ever see is someone trying to get around paying for a licence...JJOS is still so far ahead of Akai OS lol
