Sampling with Seq time signature/BPM

Hello, first post for me as I am having lots of fun with my MPC Sample!

Question: is it possible to sample an audio signal with the chosen seq's time signature and tempo/BPM?

For example, can I sample a bass line I am actually playing on my bass, and do so while I listen to the sequence's metronome, so that when the sample is assigned to a pad, it plays in time with the rest of the sequence?

In other words, since the MPC Sample treats each sequence as a single track with multiple samples, can I treat a sample as if if were an audio sub-track?

Thanks! That's a good workaround, although as he says, it would be great if a future update will allow for the pads to automatically switch to play at the end of the sequence, without having to switch them off...
