SHIFT button in the wrong place!

Probably just me, but it feels the natural place for the SHIFT button seems to be where the ERASE button is, I'm still continually reaching for this when wanting to hold down SHIFT.

Core button placements on the various MPC models continues to be a real bug bear for me, there is literally no consistency at all and placement seems to have very little logic.

Yeah, on the EP-133 the Shift button is in the lower left, so I still end up hitting Erase on the Sample out of habit.

Not always, but it feels like Akai often places the Shift button so most combinations can be reached with one hand. On the Sample, every combo is reachable one-handed with the current Shift position, but if it were moved to the lower left, the buttons in the upper right would be out of reach.

For me it is the Volume knob vs the Data wheel. When going to change the data I am always reaching for the Volume knob for some reason.

I don't mind the placement of the Shift button. I keep my middle finger on Shift, index finger on Pad Bank and use my thumb for the fader. I can use my middle and index fingers to hit the Mode buttons and use my thumb to hit Erase, Note Repeat, and the pads, all while holding Shift. this way I barely have to move my left hand much of the time.
