I got a sp404 which is a greater resample and fx unit. If my Akai mpc live dies I could live with a a tight sequencer

All good

It was designed to have an MPC3000 "kinda" feel is why they used the 3k lettering, the 3k style fader and wrist pad. Most of us have figured that out by now, but still, some wanna **** about it, but that's an easy fix, don't buy it, ignore it, move along.

It’s just conversation and speculation. Not sure why people who won’t buy it can’t talk about it….

I know why it has the arm rest which is why I think it is a toy. It was put there for looks not function

I’m talking a lot about it because it’s super interesting. I don’t have to love it to be interested in it or to discuss it. But yea I won’t buy it but I still will talk about it

Talking about it and bitching about it are different things. Conversation is fine.

Rampant speculation fuels mysteries and falsehoods, especially for those who aren't as well versed, don't know or can't distinguish real from fake to barely credible in MPC's as many others.

Word. I can be strongly opinionated so I’ll try to keep things in check. And I’ll be honest, if the workflow is the classic workflow and is well thought out I’d have to rethink not buying it…

This. Having a smaller sampler within the MPC eco system makes more sense to me personally than having a SP404 or KO2 besides a mpc, but that's just me.

LOL. Technically not true - caught myself in a lie. I have an S2000 I got in 1998 (ish) sitting in my garage!

And since the big time influencers aren’t saying anything tells us they already have one lol. How long was it from the XL leak to the actual announcement? That’s your timeline for this
