Naming screen - features or bugs?

I stumbled across some behaviours in the naming screen which I can't recreate and I'm wondering if they are just bugs. Anyone else seen or know more about these?

1. Caps lock - I had it once, but cannot work out how I did it
2. Copy last character - happened a couple of times, after pressing down on the encoder to select a letter (e.g. 'A'), the cursor moves along one step and pre-selects 'A'. Press + and it copies 'A' to the next space.

Caps is holding shift

No sure about the copy

Sorry, I meant I got a proper caps lock, without having to hold down SHIFT at all. I thought it might be a quick double tap, but this doesn't work.

Okay worked out how to repeat the last character. You just have to first delete the existing name completely, i.e. hold down SHIFT, hit the B2 button (ERASE ALL). Now when enter a character the next character along is the same.
