MPC sample is my first MPC so I don't have access to the MPC desktop software to export individual stems.

I also tried my friends 3.8 beta software as he has a Live 3 but I could not get that working... Why don't MPC sample users also have access to the software.

SO I have to spend hours muting each track individually and recording in each sequence.

It's 2026 it shouldn't be that difficult to export stems.

There should also be a feature to delete all unused samples and or rearrange/copy sequenced midi data to different sample slots.

These features are in bigger MPC’s, not MPC Sample.

MPC Sample is a stripped down, low cost machine and purposely contains limitations to make the workflow more like an old legacy MPC. You have to be extra creative in how you approach working with it. As others pointed out, if that's not suitable for the way you want to work you should consider getting one of the 'fully fledged' MPCs instead.

BTW you can buy the MPC Software from third party stores for around $50. e.g. https://www.thomann.co.uk/akai_mpc_2_premier.htm

B & H was doing it for $20 the other week. They are selling it as MPC Software 2, but once you register it you'll be eligible for a free MPC3 license.

Did you try this? I haven’t yet but it might be what some people are looking for…

I've had a quick look at this and it looks spot on. Not looked at how it handles FX etc yet but for getting the stems out it looks mint.

I'm having trouble exporting stems from the software (updated to latest version today). It opened the MPC Sample project fine and played it; I exploded the tracks, checked it played as expected, then went to export the individual tracks.

It looks like it's preparing/doing this - silently running the playhead (the Out1/2 meter is active throughout) and showing a popup saying "Exporting track X" - but it's not actually creating any wav files. Not even blank files - there's nothing there. The destination folder is empty.

However, using the same project, it will do a single stereo mixdown; this shows up as expected in the same location.

Anyone else had this - and any fixes?

Edit: The MPC Extractor site does the job, it seems. Quick and easy.
