Too High Pitched?

I find this sample last night while I'm doing some organizing of music I set aside for sampling. I like it a lot so decide to stop what I'm doing and hook something up with it real quick.

Here is the problem: In the left channel there is a real high pitched sound...it's actually a guitar. And I tried EQ and compression and can't seem to minimize it without ruining the overall sample.

Anyways, I'm thinking of scrapping the beat if that sound is just too high pitched for people to take. I may use the sample but chop it up and just use the chops without that sound.

Anyways, please post your opinion, Yay or Nay if it's a keeper in your opinion. Personally I can handle the noise, but I like high pitched sounds in beats...I just don't know if other people would just find it super annoying.

It's just a 16 bar loop so give it a listen and let me know. It's only on my Soundclick page.

Thanks for checking it 714. I'm just concerned cause I know pitch isn't one of my strong points. I'd like people to be able to listen to my work without wincing and the neighborhood dogs going crazy. hahaha

well i think its fine, especially if it doesnt happen as often.

judging by how often it comes in, you could flip the sample differently every 4 bars and eliminate the sound.

it DOES get old, pretty quick.

but its a **** cool sample!!!! so work around it.

its dope

Agree. I think you should experiment with some reverbs n' delays on it. The beat is real dope for me 8)
