not one of es-k's best beats, obviously, but at least it has some soul. and is not a chamillionaire or whatever ripoff. i also think that es-k should get credit for going into a different field, from sample-based to composed. imagine if it was on es-k's terms. this whole frontin' thing is getting stupid in here.

better than anything i could do in reason anymore unless i had my mpc1000 as a controller!!!

everyhting has a little too much swing on it i'd say
but i like the sounds you used, surprised they're presets


i think basement spent more time on this beat than you did though, but you already told us that

i obviously like the style of yours more. gothic crunk is kryptonite. i'm not voting though since the battle was skewed due to time - but everyone has a life.

when i'm finished moving and when i've reengineered my studio, would you care to battle? no rules but this one:

no looped sample.

ie, i can sample all i want, as long as i post the original sample from which i derived my LEAD MELODY(ies), and my sample will not be just a loop jack from a record

otherwise, no holds barred. it can be new, or it can be the single greatest piece of work you've ever done. your call.

j/k but in all realnezz, our opinion is just that. groupie or not, i would hope people voted real and not because they're cool wit one or the other! oh well, you win some you lose some, right? its all fun. sh!t, bazement got a fair share of votes. he aint get skunked like some folks did in some of these battles

I donno who to choose on this one. One one hand esks was mad groovy and funky but sort of simple. On the other hand i really liked basements very well put together. I cant decide and therefore I AINT VOTIN!

if dude hadent came on here all cocky and talkin shht about samplin this poll would have been different. I give Es-K props for steppin out of his element and being a factor, but know way is his beat better than dudes. I didnt like dudes attitude neither but I'll give a man his deserved props.

his beat is "better"

but like.. it doesn't have anything special to it. i'm not saying mine DOES.. but his beat is just like anything else.
