wow what can i say , we got some fucin incredible talent on this board ,man, you guys really did your sh!t .i envy you guys i would like to make one beat even cloase to any of these,
it's a hard call tho for me, i was feelin all them.
i did feel some things where repetative on all them but with an emcee that would change, i would deffinetlly buy these beats if they had an asume emcee with a positive message on them ,

i'm a freek for sample based hiphop music and i liked them all but the one that stained my brain, and maybe cause i'm in that type of mood with cough meds and being sick and all but beat 1 has it for me, all tho yeah i do think the rock sample was abit over played but like i said i think all these tracks with an emcee would be different but in a good way.

These are all pretty nice, but so plain. The days of 4 bar loops throughout a whole song are over. I mean ya'll didn't even have any bass drops or drum change-ups, let alone some pattern and melody changes...

Anyway, I voted track 3. Had a fresh and original flavor. Woulda gave it to track 1 but the "rock the mic" sample ruined it.

For me it was a close thing between 2 and 1.

Before I go in detail I want to say that I was suprised by the fact that almost everyone was lacking proper changeups or even a breakdown.
I guess some ppl like to keep it very simple which is cool to me but imo beats NEED structure in the arrangement.

After that being said I feel that is all beat 2 has on beat 1.

Hmm..I don't care about changeups, if its a hot loop you can let it rock. Look at beats like "the red" and "the official" off the Jaylib album. The loops just rock for 2 minutes straight and its dope. Anyway I wasn't really feeling any of these beats too hard, but beat 1 (minus the annoying Rock-the-mic sample, lose that sh1t man) had some potential

we need more heads on this next time around

i think alot of these beats are lacking change ups and polishing, but some of us only worked on these for a few hours. I know i only spent 4 or 5 hours on my beat, which is why its lacking alot, but i had to make something within the alloted time period.

hopefully we get a better turn out next week. hell ill do this all day even if its only 4 heads submittin beats

After listening to all the beats a few times, I voted for beat #4. I like the punch of those drums combined with the smoothness of the Rhodes samples.

I did beat # 3 and anyone who knows my beats could pick it out, but I was really focused on this beat I did for the www.hiphopkc.com battle...peep my entry for that @ www.myspace.com/dtilla..I used the 60/S950 for that



so that was the reasoning behind the lack of changeups and such, just not enough time...classes start tommorow and I gotta figure in some one on one time with me and the Pabst's's

I did beat 1. So good to know by voice is that annoying! lol

I'm not tellin u what beat I made. Unless the other contender blows my spot haha
