I had a coworker that DJ'd through the 70s/80s/90s... he offered to sell me his collection of about 4k records and I passed. Kind of kicking myself, but only kind of.

I don't have room for that much anyways... but would be cool for sure.

All jokes aside, this challenge is not about winning a vote. It's an exercise to expands one's ear. Hear the music and see where it's coming from, then breathe new life into it. Find your weak point and focus on improving it. Have fun with it!

serious though, just about done with my weekly paperwork, then I can finally dig into this for the next two days. It's been fun the time i have been working on it, some challenges and definitely learning some crucial things. last weekend, the issues seemed to be my choice to change the tempo away from the original to be giving me hiccups. I really need to break out of my comfort zone of 150-160 bpm, (75-80 double timed), I tried 180 which seemed closer to original tempo double timed but had a hard time. I couldn't get the breaks I wanted to use to flesh out right neither.

just making a status report of sorts of where i am at. happy with the main body of my track but some elements really need to fine tuned.

maybe I should have looked it up lol, now I see where i messed up. not sure where I got 87-90 from, I think I got mixed up with the breaks I was trying to use.... either way i had to scrap them. 124 would be a big change up for me too. wish I tried that from the jump.



was trying use this break, I wanted a old school hip hop feel, but couldn't make it work...
