Man... some of us get inspired by all the blinking lights! But first you take a hit of that sweet MJ, then you think about all the cool things you can make with that expensive gear, take a nap, cuz dope producers need their rest to be fully creative. Once you wake up, then you get saucy, and tell your friends and family about this new fire album you’re working on, it’s going to be lit! Then you realize it’s getting late and it is time to get started. So you download some samples off the internet, cuz who doesn’t do this these days? Pookie does it, so you do it. Now you’re running out of time, cuz it is hard work going through sample libraries to see what you like. Just drop some of them illicit samples into a track, just random style... it’ll sound LoFi. To give it some more oomph you drop a LP filter sweep from the start to the end of the track. It’s done, good job to you. Release that track to soundcloud and put in the track picture all that cool gear you own. Heck, you even spice it up and talk about all the gear you own and how you used that gear to get the sound you think comes out of each unit. Moog has great filters, so you talk about how you compressed the sound through the Moog Voyager, that NES sounding joint you downloaded, well the S950 you got racked sounds LoFi, so talk about how you got that chiptune sound out of the S950. Gotta get some street action though, so you take all those first minute comments on your track and go buy some listens from DopeGirlsLikeBigDee, and just watch all that sweet sweet ad revenue come in. After a long days work, time to go back to eBay, Reverb, and Craigslist to start looking for new gear to buy for your next release.
