i wasn't that impressed with either of the beats, heard better from both parties.. but i got more listening pleasure out of jac's. sure, big romes was more of a "musical composition" compared to a break loop and a chopped up sample but it's not about how technical you get.. it's simply how dope the beat sounds.
and the whole "i'm better than you cause i don't sample" shyt is silly
i know plenty of cats who combine keyboards/synths and samples and make the dopest shyt.. no need to act like this is politics and you have to join a side. it's hip-hop beat-making. wheeeeeeeee

Well. I think jac could've done better and Big Rome should've sampled something too. Rome you should've already known that jac samples and this is a MPC forum (MPC is a sampler). Im not voting. Two different beats. Now if you guys both posted a original beat, or both posted a sampled beat, then it would be a battle. Like someone else said, you guys are in two different arenas

rome i like the sounds you using man. the intro is nice. the beat is hot man. i dont know its kinda hard wit me cause rome's beat is pretty different. i was flowin to it instantly. but thats just me.

to be honest, i think im gonna vote Rome on this one. Though there's not much to the beat, the drums are nice and the vibe is excellent. plenty of space for a rapper! nice original beat.
