I did have my mom vote, in fact I had to beg her to do it. Isn't that just a shame, you'd think moms would have my back no prob, but no that wasn't the case.

Almost forgot, the margin of victory would have been larger had clint gotten it right the first time he posted the beats(no shots clint). There were two confirmed vote errors.

f*ck the rest... i actually like this captain murphy guy. i know most ppl here think he's a douche, but i dont see why? he asked for a battle, agreed to conditions he didn't favour, and won. i think too much ppl put nym up on a pedestal around here like he's untouchable or somethning. he's got skills, but get off his dingaling

Strange how things are still going on with this thread.

Was a very close battle, probably a lot closer than many on here would of thought. The Captain won (most probably) fairly and squarely. Although I didn't overly feel his beat I can understand why he won (it's put very clearly in a fair few posts on this thread.) The programming, technical skill and finesse of Nym's beat was clearly superior but it's not what many would call a "battle beat" and I have to agree it's not something that I could image being the base to a freestyle spitting session. Although Captain Murphy's beat wasn't as well produced and ended abruptly for the 1 minute it was playing I could of imaged it in a home-brew battle between crews.

Personally I'm not hugely into either hip-hop or rap so I judged on musical value and which seemed a more complete tune. In my opinion, just because it's called a Beat Battle, doesn't mean it has to be a battle beat unless that is specified in the terms at the start. Unfortunately for Nym it seemed a lot of people voting do think that though.

I haven't been here long but it seems to me that people don't really think about the rules of these battle as much as they could. Maybe that's because I come from using boards with competitions where the entrants come from just about every musical style possible, from techno, to rock, to breakcore, to chill-out IDM.


Anyway not really sure what my rant is about except to say: Get over it. Captain Murphy won and it's done and dusted. Want to start your own beaf call him out but there's no point in arguing over a vote of which the results are already in.
