Beat # 1

Well, lets run out on a limb. This is my first MPC and I've been making beats for about three years (all computer loop based stuff/sample heavy). And this is the FIRST beat made with the 1000. Lemme know what ya think.
The song in question is Sakura.

just lay off that melody, use another instrument or take it out all together. It's too computerized IMO, but the last part has a LOT of potential, that's just my opinion. peace

uhh it needs some work

there's like 800 things going on and no central groove. i guess it's fine if youre going for "not funky"

i could live without the velocity changes on the drums. it just makes the beat soft (dont be so scared of the full level button)

the song below it on that page was put together a lot better. sounded better too.
