Just wondering how many users have been using aksys for beyond transferring samples into customing sounds within programs and mixing with multis. These has been covered before put in my new point of development I will start to use it more as my understanding of the potential of the usefullness has gone up.
I have to admit I slept on it for awhile just using the lcd on the 4k and qlink to control program matrix settings. The 4k is incredible even 2 1/2yrs later still learning new shit. Someone a few weeks ago was asking about postive and negative settings within the program matrix can easily control the settings from aksys.
Still going strong on the 4k. Newbies be prepare to at least give a yr or more of effort, sweat, and alot of patience to dig deep into the 4k. Previous mpc users at least dig it like a 950 plus a graphic control. S3000, S5/6000, and even Z4/8 user will have a field day with these unit.
Didn`t ever think that I would have to learn so much and that so much time would have to go by. 4k is truely a deep Pro level gear in my humble opinion cuz it taught me alot more than my 2xl and little Boss Sp303 did.
Which is more advanced the gear or the man using it. The gear only does what you tell it. Since I didn`t know much at the beginning of my music production journey I couldn`t do much with my gear. As I progress with my understanding and experience of music theory, sampler parameters, sound programming, pro techniques, and developing my ear I been discovering I can do alot more with the 4k wow or any gear from now on double wow.
Aksys definitivitely shouldn`t be slept on by a 4k users. Tip avoid usb hubs when using Aksys which we discussed before shit starts to choke. Use Aksys for programming sounds in programs and layer really quick. Multis give you a better overall levels, pans, midi channels, fx sends for parts in your sequences and songs.

P.S. it is really important to know what the terms means too in order for the parameters to be useful. Many a user has tradeed in a 4k for the next greatest thing thinking that the functions on the 4k are extras or that they were unnecessary to learn.
A sampler can play any sound you put in it, important thing is how to program your sounds hence keygroups, envelopes, filters and so on.
