Whear dose the samples u get off the internet and stuff save to cf card or ram also whear do u save beats to card or ram and whats the ram for?
CF cards and other STORAGE media - such as hard drive - are used to STORE your data (e.g. samples, sequences, etc.) Once saved to this media, the MPC can be powered off then switched back on the next day and the data loaded again.
Think of the RAM as volatile in the MPC meaning that, when you power it off, all data that has not been saved (e.g. to CF, HDD, etc) will be lost. The amount of RAM you have installed determines the scale of the project you can work on in a given session. Install the maximum memory and you will be able to work with larger projects in terms of sample sizes, quantity, etc.
There are other threads on this forum - including the sticky near the top - which discuss the options for RAM if you choose not to purchase the official AKAI module.
