.SEQ and .PRG on 2000 compatible to 1000?

I'm thinking about buying a 1000, but I have a lot of work on my friends 2000. I heard that that the program and sequence files from the 2000XL are compatible...was wondering if anyone has tried with 2000.

According to Akai, here is the list of MPC1000 Data Compatibility with all the samplers (mpc's)

MPC2000XL - SEQ, PGM, WAV (when PGM file is loaded, only pad assign is loaded. Other edit parameters are ignored)
MPC4000 - SEQ, WAV, (No PGM compatibility)
MPC3000 - No compatibility
Z4/Z8/S5000/S6000 - WAV only
S1000/3000 - No compatibility

ya, I checked that out too, but they dont mention it. I sent them an email, but they havent replied.

ONLY SEQ(MIDI) files not the .ALL format This does not work!!
