Metronome Sounds

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the sound of the click on the MPC1k?

I'm hoping I can make it a little less obvious for use in my live set.

i dont think you can, but you could get a small metranome, with a small earpiece and dont even worry about using the one off the mpc

hmm.. Thats a pain. I know you can do on the 2k.

I don't think i'll be getting a metronome, i'll just put up with the standard click track.

how do you do that on a 2k? are you talking the 2k classic?

Yeah, a friend of mine has done to his old 2k.

if you have time, could you ask him how he did it?

maybe as a workaround you could make your own click sample and track in the mpc and output it on an individual out, in which you would plug headphones (slightly modified to split one mono into two).

the good thing is that nobody but you would hear it.

I wouldnt want the clicking in my phones the entire time I was doing a show

My drummer uses a click with those shure earpeaces. Hey plays a hole show. But what ever. Also why dont you juts make your own sample like a cow bell or something. then save it as a sequence and have autoload on it. then when you turn your mpc on it autoloads and you have a set 120 bpm sequence loaded up with your metronome sound that you want.

if you wanna change the click sound on mpc2k, highlight the click part while in main window - mode. then hit "open window". from there you should find an option that says "sound"..using that you can insert whatever sample u want to use as your metronome sound.

I can't really check if all of the above is correct, cuz i just sold my mpc2k, but basically that's how you do it
