Remembering Track mute setting

If you play a sequence and play with the track mute buttons it allways remembers the last setting... So next time you come back at that pattern it's just like you left it...
Is there a way to turn this off? So when I'm muting a track and go to the next sequence the track is also muted there?

if you chain your seq's into a song, then convert your song to a new seq you can do it (cuz it'll all be one longer sequence. basically there would be nothing to remember)

That's just the problem...
I've got more sequences wich I want to choose from live....And when I mute the bassdrum on track 1 and change to another sequence I want the bassdrum to be muted also in that sequence....isn't that possible then?

hmmm, you can always assign your tracks to different outputs of your MPC, the you can do the MUTING on a mixer. I actyally find it more convinient, cuz you can do alot more then just mote. Youc an control the volume, eq, fx, ...

if it was a 4-bar sequence, say...you could copy all the sequences and make it 200 bars for example. erase the first bars of the tracks you don't want playing when you switch sequences, then, as the new sequence starts playing you could have time to mute the tracks you don't want playing before they drop in...zat make sense ?

oh..ok...so it's just not possible then....
Guess I have to find a way to work around it....chain some seq's together or something.......

actually...i just checked and it does remember the track mute settings for each individual sequence.

nah the original poster was wanting to know if you mute the track called "BASS DRUM" in sequence one, will all tracks with the same name be muted across all the sequences (it doesnt).

this would be bad to the way a lot of people like to work... there's 2 sides to it ya know?

why couldn't you just set up the track mutes the way you want them beforehand ?

Because I'm playing live...and want to select sequences.....then mute tracks...go to another sequence (with the same tracks muted.....) maybe switch some tracks on again and switch back to the oyther sequence..or maybe another sequence...

So basically it's not sure what I will do upfront......

right...it all makes sense now.

so i guess it'd be muting the mixer channels then (but with 6 outs that wouldn't always necessarily work the way you want it either).

You can use the mpc1000 mixer output switches (in mixer mode) as mutes by sending a track to an output you don't use. You can toggle between the next seq screen and the mixer screen while using the pads and the data weel for muting/unmuting and change sequences.
