did you get an AKAI RAM?
If you do there is a step by step photo illustrated guide with it.
If you don't, it's plain easy. Unscrew the little door at the back of the MPC, take your RAM in your clean hands, insert gently the pins into the slot and push downwards until it snaps in. Sometimes you need to push quite hard for the little white plastic "handles" on the sides to really grab the RAM.
The only tool you will need a screwdriver to open the little door.

i thought it was in the manual but i didnt see anything when i tried to look it up.
doesn't the ram upgrade come with instructions?
i thought it came with a little photocopied instructions thing.
i might be wrong.
well anyway, if i remember correctly you just flip the mpc over, and you will see a cutout section of the bottom (that is kinda shaped like a big credit card) that is just held by 2 screws. it should be the only 2 screws you see that AREN'T near the edge of the mpc.
make sure your mpc is turned off. unscrew the 2 screws and i think you should just be able to pop in the ram into the empty slot. you should hear a little click when you put the ram fully into the slot.
when you turn it on, it should have a little message before it fully boots up that says 128mb if you installed it correctly.
good luck.

What was the exact model you got? I'm looking for a working stick that's cheap (of course)...$30 sounds right on.
