???non-midi keyboard???

is there a way i can hook my keyboard up to my mpc if its not midi,,it has an rca output jack on the back of it..its an old casio but it sounds nice and i was just wondering if there was a way and if it could be explained before i go spend money on all the wires..thanx for any help

yea you can. You just wont be able to sync them up. If the keyboard has its own tempo selection you can match the tempo to the MPC, there may be some drift but it will get you by. If you want to just sample off of it then yea RCA to 1/4" will work fine.

Depends on which MPC your using. The 1k can sample during playback so in that case I would have a scratch drum track playing while I play out what I want on the keys. I do this a lot with my Motif. I'll shut off midi and just mess around and sample it all. THen chop it up. I sample everything under the sun...including myself

so i just run the out from the keyboard to the in of the mpc?

the 2500 could play a sequence while sampline right? I would hook that biatch up and get busy!!

hey pound,,i noticed that while im playing a sequences and then i want to record the keyboard,i can only record for maybe 2 or 3 bars,is there a way to change this,i have the 128 exm also???

Which machine? On the 1k you just gotta navigate over the bars and turn the jog wheel.

im on the 2500 ...ok never mind,i had to change the length of the sample,,thanx again..
