I've been working with chopping breaks the past few day sand have run into an in issue/question (or maybe not).
Taking different work flows and production styles into consideration, is it important (or a must have) to get your chops to loop evenly into whole bars? I'm under the impression that everything should fit evenly into whole bars (1,2,3,4,etc...).
The problem for me is that, with this particular sample, my pattern is some off number of bars. In order for me to tap out enough to get a good listen I set my bars to an insane number to avoid the looping train wreck that happens when things aren't even.
So I'm wondering, am I being lazy/sloppy with uneven bar chops OR am I limiting myslef by thinking that everything should fall into even bars?
