Yeh, Coz, I did.

I still have to get a white paint pen - to finish the lines on the sliders and the knobs.

I was tempted to order the blue/white screen and get a load of nice blue leds to replace the current green ones, but I think my lil customising effort has gone far enough ( surprised I even allowed myself to bother with this really ? ). Time to get back to song writing and beat making.

that bottom slider looks bubbly. other than that, looks pretty good.

Yeah, i'm surprised i'm even considering a modest pimp up job on my 2500! What's a total pain in the arse though is that some replacement parts I can get from VST Service and others I can only get from MPC Stuff. Grrrrr... i'll get stung with the delivery charge between the two. JJ will come first though.

Im trying to get a lettering template from some1 so i can paint my 1000 if any1 can send me 1 it would be appreciated. By the way they look dope.

styleflip.com. if you paint it, just get a clear one with only the letters on it. that should do it.

Yeh, Frozen, the slider was slightly bubbled when I got it ( was used ), along with damage to the side rail. I wasn't prepared to pay five dollars for such a small item that was still perfectly functional, U know.

Other than this, I think the unit looks ok.

They look good, definitely get that paint pen and put those lines in. Gotta love the murdered out MPC's

Truth is, the Akai does what I need in a basic way .... the old addage of ' if it ain't broke, don't frigg with it' strongly applies here for me ?

I have put the free JJ on my CF card, so it's only a matter of time until I eventually load it up ... then, knowing me, the paid for versions will shortly follow

But the Akai OS is broke. Thats why JJ fixed it.
