Hi,

I hook the MPC to my mac via USB and it shows up on the desktop no problem.

When I open my desired sequence file from the MPC (on my desktop), I see all the WAV files of each individual sample. I'm able to drag these individual WAV files right onto the ProTools track and the sample plays without a problem. There are also 2 other files that are grey, one with the kit I used and the other that has the name of my file.ALL. I can't drag and drop this grey file into the PT session as I can with the WAV's. When I double click the grey file, my mac says 'there's no default application to open this document.'

So let's say my file/sequence consists of 3 tracks that I programmed in the MPC - how do I transfer them to ProTools?

Thanks!

Thanks for that tip!

Now, what is the most efficient way for the MPC/Mac/PoTools to communicate? I tried a USB cable and can't get a signal. Then I tried a 1/4 inch cable from the MPC phones jack into the DI input of my MBox2. This seems to work, but is there another way I should be doing this, like a midi cable or connecting to the back of the MPC somehow?

Also on the bottom left of the MPC screen under "TYPE," should I be selecting "DRUM" or "MIDI?"

Thanks
