Hi all,

My baby arrived today but had a few little scratches under the transport
buttons. I can't tell if it is used, the packaging seemed untouched.
It is if like the frontplate (at the transportbuttoncorner) slightly scratched over a surface before it was assembled. If you don't hold a light on it, it is not too obvious though...

Akai offered me a dedicated bag they say is worth 79,- Euro.

Does someone own this bag? How does it look like (akai logo?)
The only thing I found on the net is a "Ritter" bag which is sold as
a MPC1000 carrier in the U.S.

Would you take the bag, or would you order a new puppy ?

Thanks !

depends on if u actually travel with the mpc. the cosmetics, of course, wont effect your sound but i can feel u on purchasing something new and wanting it to be flawless.

the bag they were giving away aint worth squat. i got one and i wouldnt trust that bag to protect the mpc during travel. BUT, if the 1k works, take the bag and feel good. then again, there is always the ineveitable reselling you might do, then you gotta explain where the scratches came from.

i used to have a 1000, but returned it.

i swapped about 3 in total.

the first one had a hum sound or a whining type sound on the main outs.

second unit had pad problems (like pad 1 would sometimes trigger a sound from another pad...that sucked).

3rd unit wouldnt sit flat, too wobbly.

guess i was unlucky with my 1000 experience.

now ime rolling a with a 4000...and its wicked.
