Resampling

Somebody explain for me in steps how to resample with 1000. Please.

Recording the MAIN OUT
In this section, you will learn how to record the same signal found on the STEREO OUT of the MPC1000. With this
feature, you can add the effects to the recorded sample and re-record it, or you can record the phrase that you
created with the sequence feature, as one sample.
Preparing the recording
01. Prepare the system so that you can play the desired sound by hitting the pads or
playing back the sequence.
The sound that the MPC1000 will actually record is exactly the same as the sound from the STEREO OUT.
Before going back to the RECORD mode, set the program and sequence so that the desired sound will be
output from the STEREO OUT.
02. Press the [MODE] key and then [PAD 5] (RECORD) to display the RECORD page.
03. Select the Input field and select MAIN OUT.
04. Select the Mode field and select STEREO or MONO.
05. Select the Time field and set the recording time.
Note: When MAIN OUT is selected, you cannot adjust the recording level.
Note: When MAIN OUT is selected, the level meter is not displayed.

One little thing not totally clear at first reading: sampling from the Outs is subject to the Master Level setting, which defaults to -6dB. This can make the resampled audio sound "quieter", so increase that to -3dB or even 0dB if you want to (Mode Other / Global).
Beware: that setting affects all output from the MPC, so it's a good idea to set it back to -6dB straight after doing that - or else you may find everything suddenly distorting.

Good Looking out Guitman. One more question. Where will I be able to find the wave that it produces? I am assuming it will be just at some random place on the memory card.

It will be a sample in RAM, with the name you assign it after resampling finishes. You still need to save it to the CF card as a Sample, in the location of your choice.
