i noticed a bug today:

i used logic8 as a soundmodule, sequenced by the 5k.

everytime when i press start the mpc sends a controller message so that all level-faders from the logic channelstrip/mixer are at 100%.

i googled and found some guys with the same problems:

alesis fusion as a soundmodule sequenced by the 5k:
same thing happens with the level parameters from the fusion

so it shouldn't be the fault from logic... :?

anyone can confirm?

yeah man, I get the same problem when I'm using Reason as a sound module. Everytime I press play-start on the 5k, the volume knob on the specific module (i.e, nn-xt, thor, etc.) goes all the way up to 127. I think is a bug from the 5k side. I hope they fix it is pretty annoying.

same thing happens to me whenever i use any of my synths or sound modules in performance/multi mode..... I've never posted because i didnt want to sound like an idiot.....
know matter how you adjust your volumes in your synth's mixer, when you press
play start on the MPC5k everything jumps to FULL LEVEL.
I thought it was just me.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OF THE FATHERS THAT ARE PULLING DOUBLE DUTY!
MUCH RESPECT TO YA!

Its not a bug whatsoever its just that its the MPC5k's mixer that controls the volume now... if u press MODE + PAD 7 (MIXER)
and select TrkMix by pressing F2, u can control volume on each track from there..
;)

Im using Motif Xs Rack with multi mode.. and when i first got it i was like "Wtf is happening to the volume". But i figured out after exploring alittle:P

I feel like a, DUH!
i guess i could have figured
that out if i were using multi/performance
mode alot....
I usually leave every thing in patch/voice mode and monitor from a mixer.
thats why i dont ask question....lol
because its always something simple thats right in my face

nah... what i mean is like, you can turn the volume down on the other equipment as you please, but the MPC 5000 will turn it all back up automatically
