I'm sure he's trying to create a PGM file.

isnt the .aps file what assigns all your sound files to AKAI pads.
please don't tell me this isnt so. all these years and i've used it in that manner. lol

i was looking to edit a file and add command lines (assigning sound wavs to pads) and then save it to a file on my PC. then copy that file (plus new sounds) to my flash disk and easily loaded it up on MP.

wow that looks like it's it. has anyone used this?

but now im trippin because all this time ive always used .aps to save my assigned pads. i have to open up my manual for the first time in 8 years to see what is the difference betweens .aps and .pgm. :x

If you save a session as .aps, when you power up the mp, it auto loads all .pgm and .snd files stored in the .aps file.....

ie: .aps------>1.pgm, 2.pgm, 3.pgm.....------->1.snd, 2.snd, 3.snd.......


The .aps file should autoload, but only if .aps or .aps+.all selected as autoload file types.
