Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hi everybody,im desperate to know if anybody has information on how to remove the outer metal case(bit with all the writing) as i wish to buy a new one off mpcstuff.com.the one i bought of ebay has some scratches.i took out the 6 screws at the front and back and tried to pry it off with no luck?please help! and there is a spec of dirt behind the lcd display.

No its just tight. Pry it open from the left or right side and don't forget to remove the slider knob. Usually I open it from the left side and lift up. Gotta remove the screws on the bottom too.

Really? Because on mine, the bottom screws also hold the shell in place. There's like a lip on the bottom of the metal casing with six holes that screw on to the plastic bottom case.

I'm shure. I open mine alot (try to fix the stiff pads) and i only take out the screws on the front and rear. Odd.

You do have to remove the bottom screws, sorry buddy you're wrong.

i just took it apart as soon as i seen the pic you posted and got that annoying spec of dirt out from behind the screen,i realy appreciate the pic.i can order a new cover with now as well.thanks mate :D
