Hi this might be a dumb question, I'm considering buying a mpc, and I was wondering is it possible to record, for example synth, directly on to a beat, and still listening to the beat. with the recorded synth going into an own track? or is the only way to get the synth on the beat, by either sampling it (without monitoring the track) or midi record the synth, and have it played back thru the mpc's sequencer...to an external recording device..hope you get where I'm heading

thanx!

make a midi track set the input thru on in da mixer and u should ne able to hear the triggerd sounds while u hear the drum pattern u made for example. connect a midi keyboard u can use all da sounds from ur pc. record the midi notes that u wanna play wen it sounds good go to the record mode and record it. then u have a sample of wat u played and dats about it

okay, so what you do is record the midi onto the mpc, then you sample the actual sound signals...ok, thanx alot! :D
