Using computer as the MPC 1000 hard drive?

Hey everyone, I'm completely new to the MPC. I recently bought the black MPC 1000, but I haven't been able to use it yet because I don't have a flash card. I was told by someone that you can hook it up to a computer and have it load samples off it. Is this possible? If not, is there any way I can load sounds without a flash card? (its got no hard drive either)

I've ordered one of the internet, it'd just be nice if I could start using the thing now. I'm sick of the factory sounds haha.

I have a 2500 and to be able to use the USB function, you must save onto HD or card first then computer will read from those. so you must have a HD or card to save anything.

although you can wipe your internal flash memory and access that thru computer, but never tried.
