new mpc owner

hey i just brought a mpc 2000xl mcd and i cant load some of my drum sounds off my cf card? my freind said i need to possibly convert them into a cetain kind of wav ( pcm wav i think ) and i dont have a programme to convert my many 100s of drum sounds is there a simple/free programme i can just stick them all into an it can convert them for me ??

any help would be extremely appreciated and sorry if this is a annoying question for the seasoned mp veterans im new and also dont have a manual for help.

also, make sure the file names are not more then 8 characters long or you might wind up having issues.

yea i got them all labeled with numbers i just gota find a way to convert em so i can fully enjoy my new machine

avs audio editor,its free , just google it

cool but before i get that can i just dump all the sounds in it ?? coz i dont really have the patience to do 100s of sounds one by one and also is it pcm wav i should be converting to ?? sorry for being a pain with all the question uber excited to have an mpc an wana get da most outa it
