Internal Zip-Drive ? I know I know

Ok ive been using the search function and google for the past half week and i cant seem to find an answer or picture to this delema,,

I have a internal 250mb zip drive that im putting in my 2000xl,,my question is are these the correct amount of pins on the zip drive,,i know the cable has all 40 with no block out,, and the mpc board has all 40,,but the zip doesnt,,is this why it wont properly work,,it works on my pc but when installed on my mp i shows as an atapi device but when loading a disk it brings up a br000- error and jumps to numbers,,,ive tried flipping the cable,,i have 10 new disks and not one worked

Also,,is a 100mb disk compatable on a 250mb drive

In theory it should work. Don't think there's a difference between "normal" zip drives and the ones the use in the mp's. From the picture tho, I can see the jumper is on. Try playing around with the jumper on different pins or taking it out completely. There could be a compatibility problem with the zip drive. THere should be a list somewhere (possibly in the forum) of tried and tested drives in the 2k

100 mb cards will work in 250 zip drives, but they will perform slower I think

No, put the jumper back in but where it belongs - in master mode (all the way to the right).

Thanks for all the help,,i updated to 1.20 and it works like a charm now,,i feel pretty dumb!!

Don't feel too dumb because it wasn't 1.20 that fixed it. Zip drives do not require any particular version of the MPC os.
