that exactly what i used before i upgraded to internal. i used an external 250mb zip drive. the floppy just sat in my akai. the zips are really old technology so they should be cheap. easy to come by is a different story. i was looking for some on ebay. one week there were plenty. the next there are none or some dude is charging like $105 for his zip drive. 250mb zips narrows it down too, but im pretty sure you can find one if you look hard enough.
i say if you have alot of material on floppy then go external for now and follow fung's (writing in greeeen) directions on the adapters, cables and disks. if you dont try to pick up an INTERNAL 250mb zip drive from scsiforsamplers (best deal and support!). JD should be on this thread. he knows so much!
