Note Repeat

What the f*ck on God's good earth does Note Repeat do and how does it work? I never really even bothered with it... Then I hear tons of people talk about how it's a really unique feature... So I look it up in the manual and can't find it because of it's lack of a f*cking index... Someone break it down for me

Ok, get a sequence playing. Hold down that Note Repeat button. Press a pad with a sample assigned to it.......a snare is a good choice.......

try it with quantize set to triplets too .. . mmmm

**** are these grey things on my mpc. ive heard heaps of people talking about the 'pads' or whatever they are called. i have never used them before. whats all this hype i dont understand. my mpc sits in a dark cupboard only as a sample module....

Man, someone once told me there is a round thing on the back of the MPC & if you press it a light comes on in that funny window!

Note repeat repeats notes based on the timing settings. For example if you have the timing set to 1/8 and press down the note repeat and press a pad, it will repeat the notes at every 1/8th..


Simple as 3.14

and try setting the note value slider to filter on a snare sound then hit note repeat with your index finger, use the rest of your hand to manioulate the slider and bang on the pad with your other hand in a rythmatic fashion.

Press MAIN SCREEN while you're holding down NOTE REPEAT to get into note repeat mode. To get out of note repeat mode just press NOTE REPEAT again.

yeah ive heard of that, but theres no little xl on my 2k, and it doesn't seem to work for me, so you can understand my forgetting about it i hope.

yeah i've tried a couple times and no dice . . . doesn't really bother me though cause its not much of a stretch. the only thing i really jones for is to be able to play multiple sequences at the same time. id kill for that.
