What up...ive owned my mpc1000 for about 2 months now. Although it has ALOt of stuff i like about it...its just too buggy. My mpc had everybug on this board from the sample distortion, the "ghost" sample to the clicking noise and the sample dropout. So yesterday i just gave up. I went back to my local music store and told them my mpc was defective so i got a BRAND new factory sealed mpc1000. Im now going to sell it and get the 2000XL. Im kinda sad because i had such high expectations for this machine..but it just cant compare to the 2000XL. Ive used my friends 2000XL and have NEVER experienced any of these problems. Anyway if anyone is interested like i said i have a BRAND new factory sealed mpc1000 to sell...if no one wants it ill probably throw it on ebay..

yeah i would do the same but ever since he got the 1k i seen that is has been havin problems and sounds like he just dont want to deal with the 1k anymore. im happy with my 1k. i would of had it along time ago but i did not want the 1 k i wanted the 2k or better. but then i did my homework and i just thought that just to start off i get the 1k and then upgrade to the 2k or higher when i have enough money

I was off the 1000 for a few weeks only because I was getting hip with Ableton Live but all roads lead back to the MPC - that's too bad you got a bad one - mine works great...go figure

Did you know you can cannect the mpc to abletons live via midi - then the pads trigger the samples you want - or you can sequence the mpc into live (latest version).

Happy PAD BASHING! :D

I got my BRAND NEW 2000 xl yester day and all i can say is buying the mpc1000 in the first place was the dumbest thing i ever did. The 2kxl is SO SO SO SO SO SO SO much better TRUST me guys. Its better in every aspect it feels better, sounds better, the sampling is SO tight it hasnt skipped a beat. No weird noises or popping sounds... the pads are bigger. Damn sorry guys but the 2kxl is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy better.

Good luck to you with your new purchase. I've not had any bugs surface on my 1k yet.
