700 USB ZIP COMPATABILTY WITH 2OOO

FINALLY GOT A PC AND NOW I'M TRYING TO CONVERT DRUM SOUNDS FROM A 750 USB ZIP TO THE CLASSIC 2000 ON A SCSI 100 IOMEGA ZIP BUT HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO DROP THE DRUMS SOUNDS ONTO THE DISK. EVERY TIME I TRY MY PC POPS UP A WINDOW THAT SAYS THAT THE DISK IS WRITE PROTECTED AND I'M WONDERIND IF IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE 750 AND 100 ZIP DRIVES CAPATABILITY?

You need to format the ZIP 100 disk as FAT16 on your PC so i can be used on both the PC and MPC.

Before you do that... Your best bet is to load all of your samples/projects from the ZIP100 disk back onto your MPC, reformat the ZIP100 disk on the PC as FAT16, then save your samples/projects form the MPC back onto the newly formated disk to be read on your PC.

^^You probably shouldn't say FAT16, as there is no corresponding option in the Windows Format applet. It's either FAT or FAT32, so you mean FAT when you say FAT16. Just a suggestion but as we all know, it helps to be very clear on these issues.

Good point... I can see a bunch of replies about how they don't see a FAT16 option for formatting.
