What effect box would you reccomend to plug in to my MPC? I don't prefer using the pc.

What effects are you looking for? What's your price range? If you go by some guitar stores, you can check out some of their multi-effects boxes, but the price increases along with the quality of the FX.

Well I'm looking at the SP 303 or the SP 404. Would you reccomend them?

buy a bunch of guitar pedals if you want analogue effects. for digital, have a look on ebay for old(late 80s, ealry 90s) roland, yamaha reverb/effects units.

Get a SP-606 or 555 for quality effects.
I use the 606 to remove Hiss in samples that I got off vinyl or tapes. Even boost their frequencies.

I love that hiss. Obviously there's times when it can be a little militant and needs toning back, but generally I never try to completely remove it.

True, I don't take them completely out, but if it got that grit to the beat, then I leave a partial of hiss. But vinyl crackle is always welcome
