Maybe this is the dumbest question ever. Anyway, i'm on an mpc1000 since almost one year and i'm definitely not a noob. I looked on the forums and google but I couldn't find an answer to this:

is it possible to just MUTE a pad during playback?

I mean, i know track mute mode, but what if you laid your beats on the same track and you want to be able to mute the kick or the snare right away?
I feel so dumb asking this but i can't seem to find a way to do this easily. Something like shift hold something and the pad you want to mute, you know what i mean?
Btw i got JJOS 4.99

Thanks!

do I have to record everything seperately (Kick on track 01, Hats on track 02, etc.)
to be able to mute individual parts or can you mute the pads?

Thanks!

yep unless there is a workaround. I asked about it before on a different forum. The only video i could find on this was this: http://www.ehow.com/video_2376043_mutin ... -drum.html

And it's using track mutes. Pad mute would be sweet. Put it in the feature request thread, assuming it's possible. :)

just use track mute and record the kick or snare or whatever you wanna mute on a separate track.

that is a bummer, so theres no way to mute or solo a single sample in one track?
its alot more time consuming putting each seperate sample (kick, snare) on a seperate track just for the liberty of muting them on thier own.
