I called the guy, and talked to him for 40 minutes. These are NOT new lcd's, and not all are functional either. But it dont mean it aint worth a try. The guys name is John, and he is a musical electronics repairman out of Atlanta, GA.
What he did, was replace LCD screens when someone sent him a 2kxl when they were still producing em, but when they stopped, he started to rebuild a stockpile of faulty ones he had. Some were able to be restored to perfect, some with 1 line, some with up to 5. And he sold em acording to how defective they were, but sold em at a steal. He sold perfect ones at 125 a piece, and ones with 2 lines for like 50 bucks. Hit him up, he may still have some. He also does EMU, Oberheim, Yamaha, Mackie, Allen & Heath,Vintage Linn and Roland, and most other Akai products. Also, he does all the work himself and gurantees it.
